Brexit SATW fan-comic

So yeah, I won't make it a secret that I don't share Humon's feelings on Brexit. I thought her comic was too one sided and it didn't show how other countries properly reacted, except for negative, so here's my take on it.

So the EU officials were pretty certain that Britain was going to vote to stay so when they found out that Britain left they were panicking and some of them were in tears. Cameron said that he could renegotiate border control with the EU and get a better deal, which Mr. Juncker said they couldn't really have. nr.news-republic.com/Web/Artic…

One of the reasons why the British voted to leave was because they were tired of the Elite. They were tired of the "experts" and "world leaders" telling them how much they needed the EU so leaving was for some a way of giving the establishment the middle finger, which is what I try to show with how England doesn't care about what the EU says and just enjoys him panicking. Of course, patriotism was big reason many wanted to leave, so rule Britannia. Also democracy. Democracy is important.

Wales voted to leave as well, so he's on England side here, while Scotland and Northern Ireland wanted to remain. Immediately after Brexit people were calling for a second referendum and they tried to block the the leave vote and everything. Scotland voted pretty heavily for remain so when they got the news that they were going to leave with the rest of the UK, the SNP leader said that Scotland would be having a new referendum on their membership in the UK. You know, just two years after already having a vote on that issue, but whatever.

France was pretty much the only one who was happy about Brexit and now they call for French to be the main language in the EU and get rid of English while at the same time the leader of Front National said that if she became president, she'd promise the French a referendum as well. A bit of conflicting signals, so I thought it proper to have Sister France wanting to discuss her membership, while Brother France wanting to stay and be the dominant force in the EU. There's a big displeasure with the EU in France and 61 % are displeased with the EU, but a small majority wants to remain. The same number that was in the UK the day of the election. www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/f… www.euractiv.com/section/uk-eu… www.bertelsmann-stiftung.de/de…

Germans are scared of tariffs as they could lose a lot of jobs because they trade so heavily with the UK. This can be seen as EU being like "Well if don't want to live with me, I'll show you how hard it can be without me!" and then slowly backing down claiming he was only joking, that it was a rash thing to say and that he wasn't thinking clearly. I borrowed the template from when Germany is sorry for WWII as I thought his worried reaction was fitting

The Dutch are also pretty split on the issue and while a majority wants to stay, some polls show that most of them want to have a referendum on the issue. Though most politicians are against holding a referendum, Geert Wilders who's leading the Dutch Party for Freedom, which some opinion polls show is the leading party in the country, is calling for one.

Denmark and Sweden are not going anywhere, at least for a while. The countries are pretty much for a stay in the EU and especially Denmark is positive towards the Union, even though they are for tight border controls, and though Sweden is pretty split on their opinion of the EU, with only 52% positive positive and 48% negative, they're not going to hold any referendum anytime soon. However, the national conservative parties like the Danish People's Party and Sweden Democrats, which polls show are very popular now, are both calling for a referendum. Especially the Danish People's party are pretty hard on the issue and trying to press it through.

I didn't include Lichtenstein in the EFTA members as I don't know what kind of design I'd give Lichtenstein. Would it be a boy or a girl, would it look more like Germany or Austria or Switzerland? So yeah. Norway, were the two main parties, the Labour Party and the Conservative party are pretty pro-EU while the public is not, are concerned over Brexit and Norway doesn't want Britain to join EFTA as we claim it's because we don't want to anger the EU and because we're afraid of loosing influence. Funny enough, literally all the other countries are positive about Brexit, especially Iceland who says that Brexit is a good thing for Norway, which I show here by our little brother Iceland patting us on the back trying to comfort us. Britain is unlikely to join the EEA though as freedom of movement is still a thing here. Switzerland is also pretty positive about Brexit, believing that this can strengthen EFTA.

I'm laughing at King Europe having a random gun and then dropping it out of shock.

Why does he have a gun?
